Acumatica ERP Errors and Troubleshooting

Overview

This article is to provide guidance on dealing with errors that have been encountered with Acumatica data sync and potential actions to take. This has been broken out into different sections Import Errors (Orders and Payments), To Website Errors, and Miscellaneous

Order and Payment Import Errors

Many times finding the error in the error trace is the key to identifying the issue. If you search for error in the error trace many times you can find the information needed to identify the issue. As an example the issue in the trace below is in the bold section just after “error”. In this case it is saying that Shipping Terms are required for this customer and do not exist.

Common Errors:

“message”:”You are not logged in.” – The standard API for Acumatica requires re-authentication on a regular basis. The import process is designed to automatically do this. There are times when the timing of this matches an order import and you may get this error. All you need to do is re-export the order.

To Website Errors

Error on Change tracking – If the config will run a full export but errors when trying to do an incremental update, this is likely due to an issue with the change tracking fields. Make sure the field(s) on the GI in Acumatica directly match those on the corresponding ERP config. The field is case sensitive for this so make sure the cases match as well.

System.Threading.ThreadAbortException – This error may indicate an issue with Acumatica and the oData layer. If all configs are erring and you see this error, try and hit the configs outside of erp driver with Postman to see if data returns. If you still see this error with this, it means there is an issue with Acumatica. The time this was seen the customer was able to restart Acumatica and the error cleared.

Miscellaneous

Around Acumatica version 2023R1 to 2023R2 the Order import process no longer automatically populates the Item name(Desc) onto the order detail line on order import. If upgrading to or past these versions check and verify the import needs to include this.
