Determining A “GWC” Fit for Any Role or Job Function

Overview

GWC is an acronym that stands for “Gets It, Wants It, Capacity to Do It.”  It is used to describe the fit a person has for any role or job function.

Details

In any role or job function, the person filling it has to enthusiastically check all three of these boxes. If they do, they have a “GWC fit for that role (or they “GWC the role” for short). If they don’t, you will have problems.

  • Get It – They understand the importance of their role and responsibilities and how it fits into the big picture.
  • Want It – They want the role and will enthusiastically take it on.
  • Capacity To Do It – They have the skills, mental aptitude, time availability, and energy level to do the work.
