Overview
Local Pick Option in Cart allows users to select from one or more pick-up locations during checkout in addition to having the order shipped. This is part of the Advanced Order Entry Tools bundle. During the checkout process users will be able to select from having the order shipped or picking it up from one or more locations. Tax schedules can be tied to these locations so taxes are calculated based on the pickup location. Shipping Methods can be set so that they show only for the pick-up locations. This allows for adding some additional cost for the pickup order.
To set this up global addresses are created for the pickup location(s), the feature is enabled, and Shipping method(s) are set up for local pickup.

Enabling Feature
The feature for Local Pick-up is found in the Quotes/Ordering section of features and the Advanced Order Entry Tools bundle section
Add Global Addresses
Each global address will show up as a pick-up location. If a tax schedule is added to the address that tax schedule will be used to calculate taxes for the order and will be passed into the ERP as the tax schedule/zone for the order.
Global Addresses are in the Worker Portal in the Settings Workspace > Shipping > Global Addresses
Set up Shipping Methods
With the feature enabled you will see a section on shipping methods to apply them to Pick-up, Customer Address, or Both. All shipping methods should be set to apply as desired. For more information on setting up shipping methods – Managing Shipping Methods & Shipping Costs
What a Customer Site User Sees
During checkout on the Address collection page you will see the option to either ship to an address or do a pickup. If Ship to My Address is selected the page will display the standard address collection fields. If the pick-up option is selected you will see the options for the different Global Addresses. AT this time if you need to change the label for the pick-up option contact CIMcloud.
After selecting the pick-up location and proceeding the user will only see the shipping options specifically set up to show. Taxes will be applied based on the tax schedule/zone applied to the global address selected.
