CIMcloud Teams – How We Are Organized

This article provides a high level organization structure of Website Pipeline, Inc (dba CIMcloud).

The Two Divisions / Operating Units

There are two separate operating units within our company that are managed and run independently (with lots of collaboration).

  • CIMcloud Software Division – A SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) provider of the CIMcloud platform.
  • CIM Pro Services Division – A professional services / implementation partner of the CIMcloud platform

CIMcloud Software Division

Summary

The software division’s is responsible for creating, selling, delivering, supporting, and updating the CIMcloud platform for it’s customers.

The revenue model for this division is 1) initial software and connect fees, and 2) ongoing monthly (SaaS) fees.

This division is organized into the following major teams.

  • Customer Operations – this team manages all customer interactions.
    • It is comprised of Customer Success, Account Management, Support, Deployment, and Implementation Partner Relations
  • Technical Product Operations (Technology) – this team builds, tests, and delivers the product.
    • It is comprised of Engineering, QA / Testing, Dev Ops, and Infrastructure Operations
  • Commercial Product Operations (Product) – this team decides what should be added or changed on the product.
    • It is comprised of Product Managers, Designers, Product Marketing, and Training.
  • Sales (New Customers) – this team sells CIMcloud to new customers and managed sales channel partnering relationships.
    • It is comprised of Account Executives, Channel Development Managers, and Business Development Reps
  • Marketing – this team is in charge of brand awareness and demand generation.
    • It is comprised of Marketing, Design, and Content Specialists
  • Business Operations (Biz Ops) – this teams handles all HR, finance, office, business operating system administration (EOS), and business data operations.

CIM Professional Services

Summary

The software division’s is responsible for providing services (labor) to help companies get live and thrive on the CIMcloud platform.

The revenue model for this division is hourly billings.

This division is organized into the following major teams.

  • Sales & Client Management – this team handles client account management and sales-related functions.
    • It is comprised of Client Partners.
  • Solution Architecting – this team handles program-level planning & consulting, project discovery and planning, and customization discovery and planning.
    • It is comprised of Solution Architects.
  • Project Management and Project Consulting – this team handles project management, project coordination, and consulting for client projects.
    • It is comprised of Project Managers / Coordinators and Consultants.
  • Customizations – this team handles the technical planning, development, testing, and support of customizations including 1) modifying existing features, 2) creating new features, 3) custom design, 4) erp integration customizations, and 5) support for custom features for normal operations and major CIMcloud platform feature released.
    • It is comprised of Technical Planners, Developers, Designers, QA / Testers, and ERP Sync Specialists.
  • Business Operations (Biz Ops) – this teams handles all HR, finance, office, business operating system administration (EOS), and business data operations.  This is shared with the CIMcloud Software Division.
